Christianity's Eastern history has been forgotten- and today’s Eastern Christians are in Danger
Below is a link to an article by former Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, about the forgotten history of Eastern Christianity, and the current peril of Christians in Western Asia.
Eastern Christianity (Assyrian, Armenian, Syrian, Coptic, East African, Indian) at one time was just as populous and influential as Western Christianity (both Roman Catholic & Byzantine Orthodox). Many Christians spoke in Arabic. There were Christian communities as far East as China. Many of these Christians were wiped out by war lords like Tamerlane. And now, Christians in Western Asia are threatened with extinction by ISIL.
